Elmbridge Canoe Club is the most successful competitive racing canoe clubs in the UK and our primary aim is to promote the sport of flat-water kayak racing by providing the facilities for club members to develop their canoeing expertise both as athletes and as recreational paddlers. Of particular importance to the club is the encouragement and development of young people in the sport and emphasis is given to meeting the needs of junior members in achieving their potential.

We are Great Britain’s most successful canoe racing club with 17 Olympians and 35 world championship medals.


We are the most successful club in the country with more world champions than the rest of the country combined with 16 World Marathon medalists.


Elmbridge Canoe Club was founded in 1986 and has supplied Olympians to every Olympic Games since.


With both junior and senior world champions in sprint.


Junior 'Come and Try'

Courses are usually run monthly from April through to September and consist of two sessions per week on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4.00pm – 5.00pm.

Adult 'Come and Try'

Sessions are usually run from April through to September on Saturday mornings at 11.00am-12.30pm.

SUP Lesson

We currently provide SUP Lessons for beginners/Intermediates.

SUP Hire

We currently provide SUP Hire for experienced paddlers during the summer months (April-September).

SUP ‘Come and Try’

We will be arranging ‘Come & Try’ Sessions during the school holidays and on some weekends. These may be for either juniors, families or adults.
